This book is the one Elvis didn't want to get out but it doesn't matter he still would have been the best had he been with us today this book is a great read and gives you a great insight what Elvis was like behind closed doors no worse than anybody else in his position but a really nice guy shame he's still not here with us today to tell us in /5(). Charlie Hodge was Elvis’ long-time friend and employee, who also played guitar and sang back-up with him on stage. In Charlie’s book, ‘Me ‘n’ Elvis’, he relates that he was present when Elvis’ Dr. Nick told Vernon Presley what the autopsy had revealed.

Thirty years after three of Elvis's bodyguards first revealed details of his bizarre private life, their story about their former boss remains a flawed but important Elvis biography. • Elvis ' In the Beginning: Alfred Wertheimer's first book about his classic photos of Elvis in   David, who has written his own book, My Brother Elvis — The Final Years, added: “Red would say to Elvis, ‘You are doing too much, buddy — you are on a path that will cost you your life’.

The following is an article by Chet Flippo, the Editorial Director for CMT: The book Elvis: What Happened. was a very messy tell-all expose, based entirely on interviews with the three formerly trusted aides and bodyguards who had recently been fired by Elvis' father Vernon as part of a cost-cutting operation.

The bodyguards, the cousins Red West and Sonny West and Dave Hebler, felt. Elvis author and blogger Alan Hanson has written: 'The drug-related death of Presley gave Elvis: What Happened.

F OUR DAYS BEFORE ELVIS PRESLEY’S death, a paperback book appeared with this questioning title: Elvis What Happened. The book is an “as-told-to” affair written by Australian writer Steve. Elvis' bodyguards Sonny and Red West published Elvis: What Happened.

in The book came out 10 days before Elvis was found dead on the toilet in Graceland. This book was a good read. these guys say they wrote this book to help Elvis I am not so sure about that, because a lot of the stories in this book are very hurtful for not only Elvis but his family as well.

the book is a good read because it really lets us see just how bad the drug use had gotten.I do think a lot of this maybe true but at the same time it seems it was written to get back at 5/5(5). For 38 years, Letetia Henley Kirk kept silent about her years with Elvis Presley.

But now, days before the anniversary of Presley's death on Aug. The book uses documentation to assert that Elvis did not commit suicide as was alleged in the Albert Goldman biography of Elvis, neither was he murdered. The truth the book reveals is far sadder.

A decade of investigation is represented in the book in which the authors tracked down An account of Elvis's final days, his death, his autopsy and /5.
